Welcome to the Topeka Free Methodist Church

Lenten Season

The season of Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, March 1, and contiunes until Easter or Resurrection Sunday, April 16. In a similar way that Advent is a season of preparation for the coming of Jesus Christ, Lent is a season of preparation for the suffering, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. On the left side of this page you will find a link to our Lenten Reading Calendar. It features a brief explanation of the Lent season and Bible readings for each day.

God's Word

As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him; for he knows how we are formed, he remembers that we are dust. (Psalm 103:13-14 TNIV)
